BioMar Continental Europe operates four modern fish feed factories strategically located in Denmark, Spain, France, and Greece allowing for an excellent logistical service to our customers across Europe.

Brande, Denmark

The factory in Brande Denmark supplies the countries around the Baltic Sea, in East Europe, and in the northern part of Central Europe as well as trout farmers in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The principal product groups are feed for fry, trout, eel, perch, and arctic char, however the factory supplies feed for more than 20 different species.

 

Factory in Denmark 

The Brande factory holds a leading position as the supplier of fish feed in the region and it is the home to the BioMar Tech Lab, which is the Biomar Group’s joint centre for development of process technology.

A minor production takes place at production facilities in Horsens, Denmark.

Dueñas, Spain

The factory located near Valladolid in the central part of Spain primarily serves the Iberian Peninsula and produces feed for among other species trout, sea bass, sea bream, meagre, and turbot.

Nersac, France

The factory in Nersac north of Bordeaux in France primarily serves fish farmers in France, Italy, and Croatia, but the sales organisation based in Nersac also manages exports to several overseas markets in Asia and Africa. Product types produced include feed for among others trout, sea bass, sea bream, sturgeon, turbot, sole, and tropical fish species.

Volos, Greece

Located in the heart of Greece in the port town of Volos between Athens and Thessaloniki the Greek factory serves the rapidly expanding aquaculture sector in the Eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea and in the Middle East. The production primarily consists of feed for sea bass, sea bream, and other Mediterranean species, but the factory also produces feed for fresh water species like trout and sturgeon.
