New PhD project in BioMar R&D Centre
Marine Rolland has joined BioMar as a PhD student on a project targeted at expanding the knowledge on amino-acid uptake patterns in fish fed plant-based proteins.
The project has a duration of three years and it will contribute to an increased accuracy of feed formulation models. The project has a high relevance seen in the light of the expanding utilisation of vegetal raw materials in fish feed.
The project is done in cooperation between BioMar and the Danish Technical University. Marine Rolland is employed by BioMar on an industrial PhD project grant from the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
Marine Rolland holds a Master in Agronomic Engineering from AGROCAMPUS Ouest, Centre de Rennes, France, but she already worked for a short period at the BioMar R&D Centre in Hirtshals, Denmark in connection with her Master thesis.
