New Quality and HSE Manager at BioMar
Kirsten Nyholm Mundbjerg has per 1st December started her job as Quality and HSE Manager at BioMar A/S in Brande. BioMar thereby groups a number of important functions within quality assurance, quality control and environment, and these functions will from now on be directly represented in the company’s Management Team.
Kirsten Nyholm Mundbjerg has an education as food scientist and she joins BioMar from a position as Quality Manager at Lantmännen Unibake in Hatting, Denmark. In her new position at BioMar, she will be member of the local Management Team and she will report to Managing Director Lars Rahbæk. Our five employees in the Quality and HSE department, which also includes BioMar’s quality laboratory, will report to Kirsten.
Lars Rahbæk expects that BioMar customers in the future will increase their requirements to quality, food safety, traceability and sustainability aspects even further, and he believes that the organisational change and prioritisation of quality and environment thus has been a natural step to take. Continuously, the consumers make more sophisticated demands, says Lars Rahbæk. He explains that among other things, this tendency results in a wider range of standards and certifications which companies in the food industry must follow. This places increased demands on BioMar’s internal procedures as well as on suppliers to BioMar, and as a consequence on the supplier assessment carried out by BioMar.
BioMar A/S is certified according to both the ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 standards, and it is expected that the company in the beginning of 2012 also will obtain the GLOBAL G.A.P certificate. Furthermore, during 2012, BioMar A/S will work towards obtaining the ISO 14001 standard concerning environmental management.
