Fish farming in Recirculation Aquaculture Systems (RAS) is rapidly gaining importance. With a tight environmental control, restrictions on water availability, but also a public framework supporting the development and implementation of new recirculation technologies in aquaculture Denmark has become a hot spot for the development of recirculation technology and this autumn it will host a major conference on RAS.

Danish Minister for Food Mette Gjerskov was during the second weekend in September one of many visitors at the Danish Food Festival in Aarhus. At the festival BioMar promoted together with other companies from the aquaculture industry farmed fish, crustaceans, and seaweed to more 27.000 consumers and food lovers.

The factory in Brande, Denmark, was audited by the Danish Plant Directorate on November 25th. The audit this time focused primarily on paper flow and administrative procedures and less on physical conditions and procedures at the factory.
