New sales agent for BioMar in North Africa

Mr Mustapha Bendag has been appointed sales agent for BioMar in North Africa. Mustapha Bendag will provide technical and commercial services to our customers in Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Egypt and Libya. He will work in close cooperation with Célia Albessard, BioMar’s Export Manager for North Africa, and with Michel Autin, Research and Development Manager at BioMar.

Mustapha Bendag has an extensive experience within aquaculture. He holds an engineering diploma in agronomy, specialized in fisheries, from the Agronomical Institute of Tunis, as well as a Diplôme Approfondi en Agronomie, a diploma of proficiency in agronomy, obtained in France in 1982.

From 1985 to 1995 Mustapha Bendag was production manager at the fish farm Aquaculture du Sud Tunisien (AST) in Tunisia, growing sea bass and sea bream. Mustapha Bendag has been one of the pioneers in the development of fish farming in Tunisia.

Later he worked within the Tunesian Ministry of Agriculture, Hydraulic Resources and Fisheries, in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization, FAO. The mission of Mustapha Bendag was to manage the flow of aquaculture data within SIPAM (Système d’Information pour la Promotion de l’Aquaculture en Méditerranée).

In 2008 Mustapha Bendag was appointed General Manager at the Centre Technique d’Aquaculture (Technical Centre of Aquaculture) in Tunisia.
