BioMar Tech-Centre, Brande, Denmark

BioMar has its own facility for the production of prototype feed and development of proces technology – the Tech-Centre at the BioMar factory in Brande, Denmark. This is a fully-equipped mini-factory at a scale of 1:10 compared to a normal feed factory.

The Tech-Centre has the same equipment as BioMar’s other production facilities, but can handle small quantities making it much cheaper to produce prototype feed. A total of around 500 different feed recipes are tried out each year at the Tech-Centre.

Finally the Tech-Centre can also be used for testing new production technology and develop and improve processes required to maintain and improve physical product quality such as crumble and sinking speed.
