Sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax)

With EFICO YM 668 and EFICO YM 658, BioMar offers to different possibilities in the selection of feeding strategy for sea bass. Both feed types are optimized according to the YTELSE performance concept. In addition to these main products we also offer a variety of other special grower feed types (floating, immune stimulants, …). The LARVIVA and the INICIO Plus ranges cover all the nutritional needs during the first life stages of sea bass.

EFICO YM 668

The formulation for EFICO YM 668 has been carefully developed specifically for sea bass. We have studied the sea bass’ needs for specific essential amino acids and tested their digestibility. We have developed a feed with the optimal digestible protein / digestible energy ratio according to the different sizes of the fish, taking into account the inclusion of different raw material combinations, at high and at low temperatures.

By choosing EFICO YM 668, you benefit from years of research and development both in our Research Centers and in cooperation with customers all over the Mediterranean area. EFICO YM 668 is a high energy feed that has become a reference for sea bass farming. At optimal farming conditions you are in for a feed performance far above the normal.

EFICO YM 658 (same recipe with hemo-derivates: EFICO YM 657)

If farming conditions are difficult to control, the choice of EFICO YM 658 provides more flexibility to the fish farmer. The recipe of EFICO YM 658 is a result of intensive research and development and the reality out in the field has been taken into account in order to provide excellent feed performances.

EFICO Plus 805

EFICO Plus 805, enriched with vitamins, immune stimulants and nucleotides, is a feed that provides an improved resistance to the fish in stress periods. We recommend feeding EFICO Plus 805 as a preventive treatment in two or three weeks before planned grading or transfers, or when weather conditions change rapidly (spring and summer).

ECOLIFE Pearl 864 and 868

ECOLIFE Pearl is BioMar’s product line of feeds for organic fish production. ECOLIFE Pearl is approved according to European Regulations (EC) no. 837/2007 and 8889/2008 and production is being controlled by an independent control body. We offer two feed types with different energy levels for organic production of sea bass: ECOLIFE Pearl 864 and ECOLIFE Pearl 868.
