Sea bream (Sparus aurata)

BioMar offers two different grower feeds for sea bream. These two feed types are optimized according to the YTELSE performance concept. The first solution is very good suited for intensive production systems in cages or ponds. The second feed type contains a relatively low energy level and is better adapted for extensive production systems or winter feeding. In addition to these main products we also offer a variety of other special grower feed types (floating, immune stimulants, …). The LARVIVA and INICIO Plus ranges cover all the nutritional needs during the first life stages of sea bream.

EFICO YM 664

EFICO YM 664 has been developed specifically for sea bream, with the objective of delivering an economically attractive, high performing feed solution. An intensive research and development effort has enabled us to launch this product, taking into consideration the specific optimal digestible protein / digestible energy ratio for sea bream, as well as a flexible utilisation of a variety of different raw materials tested both individually and in combinations and under different temperature profiles. The result is a feed with an excellent performance, both in terms of growth and conversion rate.

EFICO YM 654 (same recipe with hemo-derivates: EFICO YM 653)

The energy level of EFICO YM 654 is medium high. This feed type is made of first class raw materials and it has a high content of fish meal and fish oil. Likewise all BioMar feeds, EFICO YM 654 is optimised according to formulation guide lines that stipulate the minimum contents of ω3 fatty acids (especially EPA and DHA).

EFICO Plus 805

EFICO Plus 805, enriched with vitamins, immune stimulants and nucleotides, is a feed that provides an improved resistance to the fish in stress periods. We recommend feeding with EFICO Plus 805 as a preventive treatment in two or three weeks before planned grading or transfers, or when weather conditions change rapidly (spring and summer). We recommend feeding EFICO Plus 805 to sea bream in November, to obtain an improved resistance against winter syndrome.

ECOLIFE Pearl 864

ECOLIFE Pearl is BioMar’s product line of feeds for organic fish production. ECOLIFE Pearl is approved according to European Regulations (EC) no. 837/2007 and 889/2008 and production is being controlled by an independent control body. Feed type ECOLIFE Pearl 864 is especially suited for organic production of sea bream.
