New Product Developer at BioMar East Med

We are happy to announce that we have employed Vasilis Karalazos as a Product Developer in the Continental Europe with base in BioMar Greece. Vasilis Karalazos is 34 years old and he has a PhD in Fish Nutrition from Stirling University in Scotland.

Vasilis Karalazos is the second Product Developer to join the BioMar R&D team in the Mediterranean area in recent months as Alex Makol joined our Spanish team as Product Developer in August. They will both work with the development of nutritional solutions for Mediterranean fish species.

Vasilis Karalazos joins BioMar from a position as Adjunct Professor at the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture & the Department of Animal Production at the Technological and Educational Institute of Thessaloniki in Greece. He wrote his PhD on alternatives to fish meal and fish oil in fish nutrition and studied their effects on growth, tissue fatty acid composition and lipid metabolism.
