Marine trial farm, Corinth, Greece

In collaboration with Greek Dias Aquaculture S.A. BioMar operates a marine trial farm located on an island close to the town of Corinth in Greece.

The focus of the trial farm is to carry through experiments with diets for Mediterranean species, especially European sea bass and gilthead sea bream.



The aim is to test both feed and feeding strategies where the results obtained from experiments under controlled laboratory trials can be verified under real-world farm conditions.

The trial farm is located in open water in an important fish farming area which makes it ideal for running experiments in conditions which are very similar to those experienced by most farmers in the Mediterranean area.
