Sea bass

BioMar offers two grower feeds for sea bass. The EFICO Sigma 462 which is optimized specifically for the sea bass, and the new EFICO Alpha 436, a more flexible version of EFICO Sigma 462 which takes full advantage of the variety of raw materials available in the market today.  

LARVIVA and INICIO Plus cover all the nutritional needs of the sea bass during the first life stages.

Next to EFICO Sigma 462, EFICO Alpha 436 is offering maximum flexibility and improved cost efficiency. Alpha range is taking full advantage of all raw materials permitted by EU legislation. Designed under the same specifications as EFICO Sigma 462, EFICO Alpha 436 is a step towards sustainability and contributes to an environmental-friendly profile of the aquaculture industry.


EFICO Sigma 462

The EFICO Sigma 462 targets the specific needs of the sea bass. The development of the EFICO Sigma 462 included a considerable research effort with extensive trials both in our research centres and together with our customers. This has made it possible to reach a high performance level based on an alternative selection of raw materials, and the EFICO Sigma 462 is now rapidly becoming a new reference for sea bass feed.

ECOLIFE Pearl 864 and ECOLIFE Pearl 868

ECOLIFE Pearl is BioMar’s product line of feeds for organic fish production. ECOLIFE Pearl is approved according to European Regulations (EC) no. 837/2007 and 8889/2008 and production is being controlled by an independent control body. We offer two feed types with different energy levels for organic production of sea bass: ECOLIFE Pearl 864 and ECOLIFE Pearl 868.

EFICO Genio 413

Focus in the development of EFICO Genio 413 has been on achieving a stable and strong breeding performance. The relation between digestible protein and energy has been adjusted according to our research results, just like the fatty acid profile and the content of vitamins has been adjusted according to the specific needs of the fish during vitellogenesis. Also the high physical quality of the pellets contributes to a clean and healthy water environment.
