Sea bream

BioMar offers three different grower feeds for sea bream. The new EFICO Sigma 463 optimized specifically for the sea bream, the medium energy EFICO 460 recommended for extensive farming and winter feeding, and the classic EFICO Sigma 464 equally suitable for bass and bream.

The LARVIVA and INICIO Plus ranges covers all the nutritional needs during the first life stages of the sea bream.

EFICO Sigma 463

The EFICO Sigma 463 was introduced in 2008 in response to an increasing demand for a feed specifically designed for the sea bream. The EFICO Sigma 463 was created by re-designing the EFICO Sigma 464, but free from sea bass related restrictions in the raw material mix and by optimizing based on the nutritional needs of sea bream with an higher DP/DE than recommended for sea bass. The result is very competitive feed with a high performance.

EFICO Sigma 464

The EFICO Sigma 464 has a higher energy level than the EFICO Sigma 460 and is better adapted for intensive production systems in cages or bassins.
The EFICO Sigma 464 is a flexible feed solution initially developed to suit the nutritional needs of both sea bream and sea bass. This makes it an excellent choice, which simplifies farm management, when both species are farmed in the same location. An important effort in Research & Development has made it possible for us to adapt to the reality in the farms and conserve a mixed formulation which, while it in an ideal way covers the needs of the sea bream, also gives an excellent performance with sea bass.

EFICO Sigma 460

The EFICO Sigma 460 contains a relatively low energy level and is best adapted for extensive production systems or winter feeding. The EFICO Sigma 460 is a medium energy extruded feed based on superior quality raw materials. The EFICO Sigma 460 has shown excellent results for sea bream, with one the reasons being optimal levels of Omega 3 fatty acids - especially EPA and DHA.
