BioMar offers special feed range for RAS farming of yellowtail kingfish

Land based farming of yellowtail kingfish (Seriola lalandi) in RAS systems calls for appropriate feed offerings. The feed must apply to the special requirements of salt-water RAS farming, enabling for good water quality and thus good conditions for the fish and the living organisms living in the biofilter. At the same time, the feed must deliver a top performance to the fish, securing good and sound growth.

BioMar offers a feed range specially formulated for RAS farming of yellowtail kingfish, containing high quality ingredients that match the specific nutritional requirements of this species.

As for any species, we develop our feed offerings for yellowtail kingfish in collaboration with the largest yellowtail kingfish producers in Europe, says Iannis Karacostas, Product Manager for the marine segment in BioMar EMEA.

BioMar’s range of feeds for yellowtail kingfish is available to markets served by the BioMar factory in Denmark. The grower feed range comprises 3 - 4.5 and 6 mm pellets in feed type EFICO Sigma 970 while 8 and 11 mm pellets come in feed type EFICO Sigma 980.
