IT Supporter

About BioMar IT

BioMar IT is a global IT unit, headquartered in Aarhus, Denmark, with staff on several locations in Scandinavia, UK, Southern Europe, South America and Asia. We are approx. 30 dedicated IT professionals, providing a full portfolio of IT services, including Infor ERP, to the 1.500 colleagues in the BioMar business. The position is based at the BioMar facility in Brande.

We are on a journey towards becoming a truly global internal IT Services provider, with the ambition of providing an excellent support experience by delivering professional and effective end-user and on-site support.

 

About the position

As 1st Level IT supporter you will be supporting our end-users by answering queries on technical issues and offer advice to solve them.

You must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. You must be end-user oriented, patient and cool-headed to deliver an excellent support service at all time. The goal is to create value for our colleagues, that will help preserve BioMarĀ“s values and business.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for end-user seeking technical assistance inside normal working hours.

  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.

  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by the end-user.

  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.

  • Follow-up and update end-user status and information.

  • Documentation and standardization of IT Support processes and procedures.

     

Profile requirements

  • Proficiency in English and preferably Spanish.

  • Excellent communication skills - phone, chat, email, remote and personal.

  • End-user oriented and service minded.

  • Proven experience (3 years+) as an IT supporter.

  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products.

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.

  • ITIL foundation certification.

  • Experience working with cloud technologies such as Office 365 / Azure services.

  • Experience working with ServiceNow.

  • Experience in supporting Infor M3 ERP solutions.

  • Willingness to travel up to ~10 days per year
