Everything we do has an environmental impact - going on vacation, heating our homes and feeding our families. To mitigate global warming and climate changes, it is important that we all reduce our environmental footprint. 

 

We can reduce our carbon footprint through our eating habits

The environmental impact of humanity's eating preferences is especially important in terms of greenhouse gasses. Our carbon footprint represents the amount of greenhouse gasses, primarily carbon dioxide, released into the atmosphere by a particular human activity, such as food consumption. Consequently, a reduction of greenhouse gasses through our eating habits can have a positive effect on our environment.
