MAXIO 2162 – Specially designed feed for a rising star
Meagre (Argyrosomus regius), the rising star of the Mediterranean waters, has now a diet specially designed for its nutritional requirements. Based on extensive research results and years of experience in the field, BioMar has developed MAXIOTM 2162 for cage farming of meagre.
Meagre (Argyrosomus regius) is one of the fastest growing species farmed in the Mediterranean and has gained popularity within recent years. The nutritional requirements and feeding behaviour of meagre are different compared to other Mediterranean fish species like sea bass or sea bream. For performing at maximum level, meagre needs specialised feeds that meet their specific needs.
Following this development, BioMar has created a new feed type, MAXIOTM 2162, specially developed for farming of meagre. MAXIOTM 2162 is the preferred feed choice when maximum performance is the primary target.
MAXIOTM 2162 is a result of extensive research and development efforts and years of experience in the field. By testing different nutritional combinations and collecting data both from controlled conditions trials and from the field, BioMar created MAXIOTM 2162 as the optimal solution for this fast-growing species.
Through carefully optimised formulas, MAXIOTM 2162 contributes to the expression of the full growth potential of the fish.
MAXIOTM 2162 offers everything a farmer could wish from a feed: high feed performance, optimal nutrient digestibility, low feed conversion ratio and best-in-class specific growth rate. This feed type includes Bactocell® and B-WYSETM.
From November 2019, MAXIOTM 2162 is available to markets served by the BioMar factory in Greece.
