Waste separation procedures

At the BioMar factory in Dueñas, Spain, every employee participates in the waste separation at the factory – on a daily basis.

All kind of waste is disposed at a dedicated zone, which consists of four different deposits, according to the type of waste generated at the factory in Spain: Paper; scrap metal and plastic; and waste similar to urban waste, including waste from production and from the day-to-day life at the Spanish BioMar office.

All waste is carefully separated, and is removed on a regular basis by an authorized company.

Punto Limpio – separation of hazardous waste

Moreover, the Spanish factory disposes of a small area which is called Punto Limpio – the Clean Spot. This area is aimed at separation of all hazardous waste (plastic and metal packaging from chemical products, used oil, dirty packaging, etc.). This kind of waste is also removed on a regular basis by an authorized company.
