Encouraging students to become skilled

We participate in encouraging local students to become future skilled employees in the local society around our Danish factory.

Showing that there are relevant job possibilities in the local area, not only in the big cities, is an important step in developing the local community.

In Denmark, a declining number of students enroll for scientific and technical studies. BioMar's Danish factory participates in a national network which works towards breaking this trend.

BioMar Denmark has signed a collaboration agreement with a local high-school, and opened the doors and welcomed 30 biology and bio-technology students to an inspirational day at the Danish factory, with active participation from several BioMar employees.

On the day of the visit, BioMar's European R&D Manager, a female process engineer, a young PhD student and a female product developer together with colleagues from the BioMar laboratory acted as role models; they showed the young visitors around the factory and administration, and most importantly, they spent time and commitment in explaining the young students about their thoughts, studies and experiences throughout their way to the current job at BioMar.
