Feed is the largest cost in any farming operation, yet not all of what fish and shrimp are fed is retained for growth. BioRetain directs more of the feed into protein accretion, and less into fat or waste. It lifts performance without needing to increase protein and energy levels in the feed, while giving us greater flexibility in the raw materials we use.
The science behind BioRetain
Growth is not simply about more protein or energy. What matters is how fish and shrimp retain those nutrients.
Amino acids not used to build protein are broken down for energy or stored as fat. BioRetain targets protein synthesis, so more of the feed is retained as growth.

BioRetain can be applied differently depending on species, production system and what you want to achieve.
When cost is the priority, it maintains performance with reduced digestible protein, for the lowest cost per kilo produced.
