BioMar Ltd. appoints Donald MacDonald as Managing Director
We are delighted to announce Donald MacDonald as the new Managing Director of BioMar Ltd. Donald will be joining us in early September bringing a wealth of experience and leadership to our team.
Donald joins us from Macphie, a leading UK food ingredients company, where he is currently Operations Director. He brings strong commercial leadership and a proven record in building customer relationships and delivering value in food manufacturing and aquaculture.
With broad senior leadership experience, Donald is passionate about understanding customer needs and forging long-term partnerships — qualities central to BioMar’s collaborative and innovative ethos.
At Bakkavor Group, Donald led the commercial partnership with Marks & Spencer, overseeing the commercial and supply chain process and building strong, sustainable relationships.
He also brings aquaculture expertise from senior roles at the Scottish Salmon Company (Bakkafrost) and Marine Harvest, working closely with customers and partners across the value chain.
